The Candidate:

Jason Roper, a six generation Texas was born in Taft Texas in 1975.  He graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1994 and attended Texas A & M University.

After Graduation he became a resource specialists for the United Way Capitol Area in Austin Texas. During his tenure with United Way he accepted a position on the legislative staff of a well known State Representative.  In 2001 he married his college sweetheart, Rhonda Hoyt, and they moved to Houston, where they now reside.

Community and Political Service has been Jason’s strong suit as he was elected as one of the youngest Precinct Chairmen in Texas in 1994 in Burnet County.  A state Republican Party Delegate in 1994, 1996, 2004 and 2006.  In 2001 Jason became a charter member of the Langham Creek YMCA and was a Young Leader Donor to the Houston United Way.

Currently serving as Precinct Chair since 2002 in Harris County Precinct #617 Mr. Roper has a long list of service as Legislative aid, campaign coordinator and major roles in Texas political campaign from the Governor's office down to the local level.
